SES Secure Asbestos Contract with Oriel Services Ltd
February 10, 2012 at 9:21 AM
Shield Environmental Services (SES) have recently been selected as one of three contractors to provide asbestos removal services to Oriel Services Ltd, a subsidiary of Cunningham Lindsey UK, who is part of the Cunningham Lindsey Group, one of the largest loss adjusting firms in the world.
Oriel manages a network of contractors nationwide, who carry out insurance related repairs to buildings. Initially, SES was invited to complete a pre-tender qualification (PTQ) questionnaire in September 2011. Following the success of the PTQ, SES submitted a tender for the works and was subsequently invited to undertake a presentation to a number of representatives from Oriel Services and Cunningham Lindsey. After visiting SES Head Office in Bristol, Oriel issued a letter of intent in December 2011 from which a Project Plan was drawn up and implemented.
An intense training programme was rolled out to all of SES Branches tailored specifically to working in domestic properties in recognition of the level of works SES was now carrying out in the Domestic Sector. Our Commitment to Customer Care and Working Practices policies were prepared and issued to SES employees from Directors through to site-based Operational staff during the training programme. SES has initially been allocated all asbestos removal works in the South of England and South Wales beginning the 25th January 2012, our aim is to become the preferred contractor of choice for Oriel nationwide.
SES Business Development Director, Julian House commented, “We are thrilled to be working with Oriel and believe this will complement other frameworks we have within this sector as well as frameworks within the Social Housing Sector.”
