SES Selected by Asprea for National Asbestos Contract
February 09, 2012 at 9:13 AM
Shield Environmental Services (SES) has been selected by Asprea following an extensive tender process as one of two national asbestos removal contractors.
SES was invited by Asprea in August 2011 to complete a Request for Information (RFI). Following the success of our RFI, Asprea’s National Supply Chain Manager and Compliance Auditors visited SES to analyse our working systems and assess our ability to undertake the national contract. SES was subsequently asked to attend an E-auction, along with seven other companies, where we supplied our most competitive rates and were awarded the contract.
In early January 2012, after a three month mobilisation period, SES started receiving work instructions of insurance claims nationwide. An initial audit carried out by Asprea demonstrated that works are carried out to the very highest standard by SES establishing a positive start to the framework.
Our aim is to become the preferred contractor of choice in this demanding sector, specialising in the provision of asbestos works in this bespoke environment. SES provides innovative solutions that reduce the environmental impact of our works and increasing response times through Remote Operational Teams, who will utilise the very latest technology and bespoke software, without compromising on Health and Safety and compliance with legislation.
SES Business Development Director, Julian House commented “We are absolutely thrilled to have been appointed as one of Asprea’s approved Asbestos Removal Contractors; it is testament to all the hard work of our Technical and Bid Management Team in securing this contract. At SES we believe we have the required skills and processes to deliver within this highly responsive sector.”
