Shield Environmental Services have been awarded the Green Accord accreditation, achieving Premier Status. The Green Accord accreditation scheme is designed to help companies implement sustainable working practices within their business and manage environmental responsibilities more effectively.

We have pledged our commitment to promote more efficient use of resources throughout the company by encouraging recycling and a reduction in our output of waste; this in turn will reduce environmental impact and generate green awareness throughout the company.

The Green Accord is an agreement that binds SES to the sustainability philosophy of Exeter City Council, who devised the accreditation to help meet the Government’s challenging climate change targets by reducing the overall carbon footprint as part of the wider Corporate Social Responsibility agenda.

Green Accord is the only accreditation scheme that treats climate change rather than just measuring it and is a proven supply chain process that addresses the expanding environmental responsibilities facing those who procure.

The Green Accord complements our ISO 14001 accreditation and shows our continuous dedication to improving our environmental practices and striving to be the leading asbestos services provider within in the UK.
