Asbestos Health & Safety Trainer – Bristol

An opportunity has arisen for an Asbestos Health & Safety Trainer

Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Main Duties:

  • To conduct internal and external training courses as required
  • Present company inductions monthly
  • Asbestos trainer to a licensable standard
  • NVQ assessments
  • Identify training needs for clients
  • Conduct training needs analysis on internal staff
  • Generate new business opportunities
  • Maintain up-to-date presentation slides and training literature
  • Represent Shield at conferences and general meetings
  • To work with the Training team to progress departmental and company objectives
  • Create new training courses as and when needed
  • Participate in departmental meetings
  • Support the Auditing function as appropriate
  • Support the Technical Department with Asbestos related technical matters, such as policy and procedure review as needed

Qualifications and experience:

  • Experience of the construction industry
  • Other training/teaching qualifications
  • BOHS qualification(s) in asbestos removal, surveying or management
  • IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point)

Other qualities and requirements:

  • Public speaking
  • Demonstrable training skills
  • A good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
